anyone ever use Kitco for melting? I have used them for gold, but not for silver. any going price for 40% melt value? thanks............

If you plug in how many and what type into this website,it will tell you what your coins are worth at melt. Please don't confuse melt with what you will get for your coins if you sell them. Dealers/smelters only pay a percentage usually about 80% of melt. Unfortunately, some of these guys want to make a profit(imagine that). Today's current rate of $14.67 per ounce makes 40% halves worth $2.17 a piece in silver.You would be hard pressed to get more than 3.5x face value. Cheers, Jim
