Makeup tube or something else?

Found this in my front yard tonight (deep) I think it might be like an old lipstick tube? Any ideas to the contrary?

I think we have some great ideas like 60's tip for a cane, chair/table leg, perfume cap, shaft tip, etc. but we really can't determine which direction to go until we know the thickness and size of the tube. If it is thin and flexible, it wouldn't serve well as a chair/table/cane tip. Also the star motif has a more feminine look than industrial.

I'm leaning toward 50s/60s furniture leg cap, but for a 'light' weight, feminine piece like a sewing basket or the likes.

I have seen that star pattern on several different 60s items.
