very impressive my friend great finds.

Congratulations on your first cob. Not going to find those where I live. Excellent area you are hunting. Spent some time there long ago.

Congratulations! :notworthy:

Your New Field Site? ?
I have a feeling that you will be spending quite a bit of time at that field.
Congrats on some really great finds.

I don't know anything about it, but it's very cool! Congrats.

I think you had one heck of an incredible day- Congrats on the great finds!

Excellent finds
Keep em coming

Congrats!

But why would you think you would never find one in NC? Actually, NC is the one place where you should expect stuff like that. My family settled there in the 1720s, so I know it's got some history to it.

Anyway, congrats again! Well done!

New Bern NC is where my family came from. They migrated west in 1847. Cool to see that on the tag.

Killer hunt, congratulations! :notworthy:

That last item is a duplicate of one that I found here in SE Missouri, also on an early site. I guessed from size, weight, and shape that it might be a weight for scales....but I don't know for sure. What do you think? Have you had anyone tell you that they know what it is?

Very, very nice mate.

Scale weight would be my guess too

Beautiful finds- cob and cap bust on my bucket list!
