Magic Fingers in Montana

Where do I begin?
I was born in England and moved to the states as a little girl....well I never was a little boy ::).
My husband robbed the cradle cause there is no way I can be married for 32 years!
We have four wonderful kids and 2.5 grandbabies. My grandson has dubbed me "Bunga Donna".
I am a Massage Therapist. Our son was in a car accident back in 2000 and I was always massaging his hands and feet while he was in a coma. This was what got me thinking about massage school. I love what I do. I had my own office for a few years but closed it down when a luxury resort asked me to come work for them, I couldn't refuse. I love to pamper people.
I have always wanted to get into metal detecting and it looks like this summer I will be able to start. I still have to buy my MD and am still trying to figure which will be the best for me (4'11") and my Montana soil.

Here are some pictures. First is me during my "blonde moment" a couple of years ago...lol.
I love to take pictures. Next is a creek by me. Then the mountain picture is from my front yard.
Then a current picture of me with bad lighting.
Finally a picture of my side yard last week and the reason I can't go hunting yet.

Hope you enjoy learning a bit about me. Feel free to ask questions. I am enjoying getting to know all of you here.

Great to see ya, Magic Fingers. When you figure out which MD you're going to choose and find that 1st treasure then you're hooked. There's no cure for that sickness...everyone of us has it. ;D Beautiful pics...love that snow cover mountain.

;) RR

Thanks RR. I am having knee surgery tomorrow and will spend my down time reading all about metal detectors. I know I will be so excited when I find my first "treasure". As you can see from my snow, it will be awhile.

welcome young lady, glad your part of TN

I like anyone who calls me a young lady ::)
I noticed you were a squid also. Nuclear subs here. How about you?

Yes for a few years I did serve as part of the finest Naval Forces in the world. Unfortunately though dear young lady, A nuke huh, I chased you around as a "brown shoe" doing Anti Submarine Warfare and Search and Rescue before I moved up to CH-53 Helos. Spent many a day on Andros Island and Kauai

My hubby was an ET and got the pleasure of going underway. I was an ombudsman for all the subs he was assigned to. I only got to go on the subs when it was time to meet with the captains.

Nice to meet you.

ever at Pearl?

Guess I chased and pestered him then and not you. LOL Sincerely though I salute you for your job volunteering. Managing your own family needs is difficult while the other spouse is deployed. Still when you could sit back and relax you jumped to the helm by taking care of all the ones left behind while they were underway. It is a true honor to meet you too.

Welcome to Mug Shots and to Treasure Net!

Do you go by "Magic" or "Fingers"? It's almost a mafia name...

I am (retired) career Air Force but can say I've been on the USS Wyoming, an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine, while TDY to King's Bay, Georgia a while back during an information exchange mission. While the AF missile guys spent time talking missile airframe garbage I spent time with the Marines who guard and moved the things for emplacement... It was an extremely memorable experience. A have a challenge coin from the boat.

Where you at in Montana? I'm in Great Falls and can honsetly say we have hardly had a winter here at all this year. It's been pleasent and almost no snow to speak of... everything dumps on the eastern front and nothing makes it to us... no complaints!

Good luck deciding on a detector and I look forward to your finds :)

BTW - Ask "Felinepeachy" about her detectors and the height issue... :)

Thanks CB. I lived in Utah for a few years. My dad was stationed at Hill AFB.
I was stationed at Hill AFB in 1974 after coming back from overseas. Now I work there as a civilian. Hope to retire in three years.

Oh my goodness CB! I was at Hill AFB from 1973 thru 1976. My MIL still lives there and I still go down to visit her.
We will have to keep in touch.

Hey Jim, nice to meet you. I am about 2 hours from you. My hubby's cousin lives in Great Falls and we seem to head over there on 200 a few times a year. I usually load up at MAFB when I am there. Do you ever MD off of Sluice Box Road? Do you have lots of iron in your soil there? Cousin wants me to bring my MD there once I get one.
Keep in touch.

Donna
