Looking for a new MD for silver coins

Minelab E-Trac is pretty good...and you can get some nice deals here from Members.

All the Minelab FBS machines are excellent for silver, as are many other brands and models. Where would you be hunting for them? Sometimes the search area would dictate which machine would be best. You might also look into the new Equinox machines. They have a lot of nice features and are pretty state of the art being waterproof and bluetooth wireless.

I have found that the BEST silver machine always seems to be the machine I know BEST. ╦╦Ç

I think any machine will find silver, copper and aluminum
gold, gold is the hard one

Yes, gold is the hard one.... I will revise my above post to say best GENERAL machine.... gold specific or salt beach specific aside. ╦╦Ç

The new Minelab Equinox 600 is a sliver machine. $660.00 Check it out! Minelab Equinox 600

Being one of the most conductive metals on earth, I’d think that just about any machine would pop on Ag!
Somebody please enlighten me if otherwise.

Ag makes my Equinox really sing!

Sure, any machine will do but..... case in point..... The Gold Bug 2. It will certainly "pop" on silver coins. But rusty nails, white metal, tin foil, and others will get thrown into the mix. I don't particularly favor displays but when "cherry picking" specific metals, the machines with displays have their purpose. I have three display machines. I am favoring the Cortez right now. I would not think of looking for coins with my GB2 unless prepared to spend a lot of time digging trash with the coins. ╦╦Ç

I like the Equinox because of it being easy to learn out of the box. If there is gold in your area then maybe the Equinox 800 but the Equinox 600 will work just as well it just don't have a specific gold setting
