It looks like the ground is being cleared for buildings. Can you imagine having your house on top of these things? Go to plant a tree in your front yard and find a gun or someone's skull. It seems that these guys are just trying to get as much stuff out of the ground before buildings go up, like maybe the government isn't concerned. Maybe the gov't doesn't realize how much live ordinance is there.

All the live ordinance waste -- no wonder war is so expensive.
