Let's See Your Adena Points

After seeing the post by unitas with his favorite Adena Points I thought I'd post a few of mine as well. To much snow on the ground and it will be a while before we can hunt again, so I'll just bide my time by posting pictures.

These are all personal finds except for the first picture and those I bought. They are from Tennessee and all the others are from southern Ohio or northern Kentucky around the Scioto county, Ohio area.

If anyone else has some Adenas then post them so we can see them.

Here's another from the same site as otherone, the only one I've found with the rounded base.Material is Ridge.

OK, heres the only one I got a pic of. I went to a buddies place for a few days while I was in the Marine Corps back in 83 and found both these...problem was..I was more into beer and them giggling Ohio gals that kept getting me to "say something else"...

I don't have this one anymore and it's probally a turkey tail of some kind but I always called it an adena. it was well over 5" long, from Indiana, but dang if the tip wasn't gone. still a great piece though.

Here's Mine

A few are Flintridge material.

The big white point is from Mo. and was a gift, not sure of the type.

These three I bought, nicer than any I ever found.

Newnan...I see some that would be classified as turkeytail.
Could go as far as to say "transitional adena." We all know how these
things progressed in style. Here's one I found ...turkeytail...

Sweet point Dollar Zero. Is that red ochre stained?

There is more red in the dead center of eye in the sonora, but the
other side definitely has a red stain. My guess it's actually from iron
in the ground. There was a natural flow of water coming out close
by that left a lot of deposits.

Dollar, if I was to guess, and a guess is all, it might be an Ohio double notch? Thats a long way from my collecting area, and these are just momentos of my time in Ohio. (it was a nice time BTW..folks there were real nice to me..kind as any I met)

Here's my cache of Adena Blades. I've shown these already but they fit in this thread nicely. Dollarzero, I called a few I found Turkeytails but they may not be, just close.

Johnny Reb I think that is a Ohio Double Notch. Here is the only one I found and it was broke, but hard to tell after I glued it.

Here is a mamba jamba and another from the
same spot and were found near the small town
of Patton Indiana which consists of a few houses
and buildings. Found by an older farmer a long
time ago.

Here is a couple of mine. I have very few. The white one is one of my favorites. They are only about an inch long.

I have a bunch, but these are the "showy" ones. Middle one is a hair shy of 6". All from KY.
