Not to sound like a smart azz.....But Use it often..lol..>really thou...Mine gets surface rust ever once in a while, but it doesnt last after a day of hutning...Maybe you could spray it down with something after you use it?

Ok. Id like to use it alot more but the weather keeps me from going. Ah spring please come soon.

wipe some oil or wd40 on it .. mine is all covered in dried muddy in the sheath, and probably has some rust under the dirt but I don't really know. Why clean it when it only gets stuck in the dirt again!

Surface rust ain't nothing,I get a year out of one minus 3 inches,I sharpen a LOT!!!

GOD Bless

Chris

The tool is made out of steel, and steel will rust. A really light oil or WD-40 as mentioned previously will lessen rust. Wherever you're storing the digger may be in an error that is susceptible to moisture. Try a few moisture absorbing packets.

Just heat it up red hot and it will slice through the frozen ground like a hot knife through butter. Lol just kidding don't get burned!
