I learned something about something "looking" like it's ready, and actually being ready.

With the weather being so nice the last few days I noticed that the snow has left the cornfield I sometimes
visit. So, I thought it might be nice to start my season with a challenging walk around the field.

But, the very first and a few holes after that I found that just underneath that beautifully snow free field was
a concrete block of ice!! :(

There were puddles and mud everywhere but just underneath, solid!

So, I picked a small rise in one area, with a southern exposure, and just walked around there for a short.

I found a lead seal, a .22 bullet, a couple mystery metals and one solid piece of bent brass. The last thing
looks a bit like some sort of straight edge, a ruler or some such. No markings. And one single clad dime.

No pictures but if anyone needs to see any of the above I'm sure I could look up a pic of a clad dime if needed. :dontknow:

Not the start I was hoping for, but, with this past winter? I'll take it! :)

Any temp increase would be greatly appreciated up here! Thank you!

Another big snow storm on its way for me tomorrow night. This can't be happening! [emoji301]️[emoji95][emoji379]
