Went back to my colonial-field-turned-parking-lot today. I asked a bunch of pals today for a last minute hunt, but nobody bit. So I instead went home. Along the way decided last minute to stop at this spot that produced a 1806 KG3 and an 1813 LC a few months ago.

I still haven't hit colonial here but let me know what you think of this button. I think it's close but no cigar.

10:1 the button says Imperial Standd London on it along with the sunburst in the middle where the shank was. The standd was abbreviated from the word standard and was a British quality mark. Imported to the US from Britain as early as 1810 until roughly the 1830s as American civilian demand for brass buttons for the clothing industry could not keep up hence importing.

That is exactly what it says...but then again I've been drinking beer tonight. So I like what I'm hearing from everyone, including your educated input. So I'll up a median age of about 1820, based on a few opinions, on that button. Thanks for the great information buddy!

Regardless when it was made, I feel like when the enjoyment of consuming beer is involved...that's a battle won right there. Cheers:occasion14:

I couldn't say it better myself. Today's battle is over and it's beer time. Tomorrow? Well that's another story...

Cheers

Wow! I love that top coin, Beautiful!

Good to see that you still managed to get a couple of real nice finds.
The ol' saying in detecting lead is your friend.

Oh, you must not remember us talking on the phone this morning! You had to go before I could ask. I cried all morning. Then I asked Chris, a few other friends, and even Dave. Lol.

I felt bad when I read this...then I realized you couldn't even get ME to be a friend lol. Now I feel like second to last picked!

Haha! At least someone asked you! People never invite me fishing either. I like to pretend it's because they're afraid I'll catch all of the fish;)

Very nice LC Scrappy. That coin hit the dirt when brand spanking new! Congrats on getting a nice one.

If it weren't for the 700 drive, I would go with you in heartbeat, ask George, I don't find much, so it's not like I am soaking up all of the treasure (CJON).

Best of luck to you!

Lol. Well If you come up in Sept I'll let you find a shiny pistereen on my site. You can use my CTX. Then I'll put you in my video with the intro featuring explosions and bikini models.

YeehaA!

I am more of a one piece model, too old for bikinis, but whatever it takes to score a pistereen with a borrowed CTX.. Count me in!

That LC looks to be in decent shape, and I guess that could be expected based on where it was found. Unfortunately, almost all the ones I find in the cultivated (and highly fertilized) fields are not worth bringing home. Yours is probably in better shape than 95% of mine.

I can just feel the love lol, it's not my fault I'm great and everyone wants to hunt with me and have my hands bless their detectors lmao!!

Roached like the two below?! It's very interesting that the 1850 is in better shape that the other two I found.

Here's one: ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1440777080.690451.jpg
1806 KG3

And the other:
ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1440777136.838607.jpg1813 LC

I found them where the field would be and thus fertilizer, and they're completely torched...

The 1850 is from where I think the barn stood which may have saved it.

All joking aside, this is why I couldn't go.

We had to take him to have a tumor removed from his hip. We can't take the chance of him chewing his stitches out.

He's a cutie. All is well that ends well.

I'll let you know when I go next
