I didn't do too bad. I was thinking maybe 50 bucks cause I didn't have too much but I walked out with 98 bucks instead. Would have been more elsewhere but I had to get rid of my scrap and couldn't wait. Here is what I got paid per thing in northern VA yesterday.

Yellow brass: 1.40 per pound
copper/irony radiators: .50 a pound
Insulated #2 wire: 1.20 a pound
Coax cable: .5 a pound
#2 Copper: 2.30 a pound
old sheet alum.: .48 a pound
alu. rims: .60 a pound
cast alu.: .35 a pound

The place I went ends up paying a little less though, not bad though;)

Good deal, Pepperpump! We're getting ready to take off a bunch of our scrap as well! We'll see what the prices are over here in KY!

great job pepperpump!

you not only keep that stuff out of the garbage dumps (or the ground for us to find with our detectors), but you made a good buck as well. How many pounds of each item did you have and how long did it take you to accumulate it? Just curious. Where do you find your goodies from? no aluminum cans though?

your yellow brass is a great price over there.

I love to scrap metal.... real good easy money. Keep up the great work.

Hey Rumble, I threw the paper away already with the pounds but like I said, I was very surprised as I did not have the amount I usually go with. I find the scrap at my jobsite dumpster. No cans as I am trying to save them till I get a hundred pounds to make it worth it. I have only about 75 pounds now;(...It takes awhile to add them up.

72 lb of cans, 36 bucks ::)

scale won't buy scrap brass from shells tho, so if someone has a scale that will i have some spent shells (i spent em) that i would be willing to offer up.. have to dig them out and see how much is there tho.

I hold off selling scrap until the winter. The guy at the yard where I go to says the price usually falls in the spring and doesn't rebound until the winter. May or may not be the same in other areas Something to look into.
