My detecting this time of the year is on some serious diet. With the unbearably hot weather and the serious lack of available detecting sites, I have only managed to get out a few times last week and only for a couple of hours. I still managed to get a few decent relics and coins.
Got a few military finds.
British 31st Regiment of foot enlisted men button (1784 type) in a very good shape.
War of 1812 British 41st of foot.
A Brown Bess musket butt stock marked with the broad arrow. Unfortunately, the part containing the regiment number is missing.
Also, found a few coins.
A nice Upper Canada 1820 Halfpenny in a great shape. My first one of this type.
Matron head (1823?)
Strangely, found my first and second George IV coin. They are uncommon as he had a short reign.
George IV Halfpenny 1827
George IV Farthing 1825
A few 1835 Lower Canada Halfpenny coins.
Some more coins 1770's-1830's
A few nice civilian buttons.
Croatal bells.
A cane tip?
A keyhole from a treasure chest (working on finding that one )
And the hoards of flat buttons...those in the pic are from the last few weeks or so.
Thanks for the comments.
