[/quote ] This place is off the wall as far as crazy and awesome , but that's the way we roll around here , just never know what your going to dig. 1858 Seated would have been XF but the hole ruined it. :-\ Thanks Nana :icon_thumleft: CMD

Dude , I dig these all the time ..in my dreams :o Some do understand ,a lot of work goes into these hunt's . Not shown ; the 50 shot gun shells tops , 40 square nails , the 2 sore feet , and the empty box of band aids . :laughing7: I have found Spanish silver but this is the first copper . Thanks :occasion14:

Wow, did you dig all of that today? With what you are showing..............there has got to be plenty more!!
I thought everybody dug that much stuff  it's not actually that much when you get into the right spot at the right site ,concentrated in an area where there is not a lot of random searching .. never know what is out there :dontknow: :dontknow: ..I will miss my shovel , but will manage. Looks like the end of the road for this one , ::) Thanks , HH

I thought it was a replica of a spanish as well . Seems like the Dutch who settled here in the 1600's must have used them in exchange :dontknow: very excited to get anything that old with a date . I have dug 1690' s English that are wiped out like the George I next to the marevedis . Thanks and Happy Holiday Season to All ... :occasion14: dawg

Re: Last Lost Coins for 2010 Found at Mill Site

my condolences on the shovel. I use one of those german folding ones with the pick and shovel blades. in the water I use a homemade steel and rebar shovel that is a true beast. I shove the blade in my bcd belt and wrap the chest strap around the handle, that way it don't get lost.

The German ones are hard to get now days , it sounds like you have a decent set up . The US Army GI shovels are extremely durable . I am gonna try to fix it with some welded patches . Pic is yesterday , still operational , silver knife and two Indian head cents , one unknown foreign coin of the French toasted variety . Thanks for the info and HH

Me too. I don't think they could have been designed any better. I've never broken one; can't imagine it.
