Lake Meade, how come nobody cares

For the people concerned about global warming. Would you be interested to know about all contributions to global warming? I think it would be important to consider everything.

I wonder about the contribution of volcanic activity to global warming? I never hear about it being discussed. Once in a while you hear about a volcano in Hawaii erupting and forming a new island.
Or one erupted in Iceland once and shut down air travel between Europe and America for a while.
You think that maybe it's not a big enough deal. But Wikipedia says that there are 5,000 known volcanos on earth of which 1,500 ARE CONSIDERED ACTIVE. BY active I guess that means it pumping out hot gases, lava, steam? Go read Wikipedia Volcanic Activity and form your own judgement.

Wouldn't you want some scientists to study this and give us an honest explanation of this contribution to global warming?

I wonder why that doesn't happen? Doesn't fit the Socialist agenda does it?
Just because a volcano is listed as active does not mean that they are erupting. Mt Rainier, Mt Adams, Mt Hood, Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen and many others around the world are listed as active but are not erupting. Active means they are erupting or COULD erupt. Do better research. :laughing7:

I just want to say that most environmental scientists have Master's degrees or Doctorates in their field. They have no "agenda" that some people claim. I am not a scientist but I do read a lot. I have over half a dozen books on this subject and I have book marked on my web browser over a dozen science channels. I certainly don't claim to know everything but I am well educated on environmental subjects.

Maybe we should pump the oil and natural gas out of the ground faster, before the volcanic activity could set it off and blow up the planet?

We could save the world that way.
Whatever floats your boat.

We could save the world that way.
If that makes you happy.

You are correct!:icon_thumleft:

They do most of our manufacturing. That’s why their numbers are so high. We outsourced the pollution.
Cop out! Can,t go into detail on this one without the spectre of politics raising it,s ugly head. Suffice it to say that this statement is at least misleading.

Global warming is a GLOBAL POLITICAL talking point and you brought it up in this thread.

We were just talking about Lake Meade water.

Well let's see. Since over 90% of scientists agree that humankind has and is contributing to global warming....Do some research of your own from reputable SCIENCE sources. :icon_thumright:
Well of course the scientists agree, that,s where their research money comes from.I question the 90%. You still haven,t answered the question about what to do about Lake Mead and the People out West.

Still not answering the question. What to do about the lack of water in Lake Mead.

Look, all you have to do is some research and believe what scientists are saying, not some news outlet.
Why should I believe a scientist who has a vested interest in a certain out come? Those scientists aren,t helping with the Lake Mead problem, you aren,t either. You,re pushing a climate change agenda,so are the scientists.

Environmental scientists get their funds from entities that are vested in the climate change ideology. They,re not going to get their funds cut off by publishing something contrary to that ideology. How do you know that many of us are not as well educated as you are. Still haven,t answered the same old question.

Indeed we were talking about Lake Mead and it,s lack of water and how to alleviate that. He brought up global warming, nothing to do with Lake Mead. Global warming is a highly politcal and politicized subject that is difficult to talk about in other than general terms without dipping into politics. He still hasn,t answered the question, what do we do now about Lake Mead and the water problems afflicting the West.

And I slept in a Holiday Inn Express last night, I woke up well rested!
