Freaking unreal. 400 year old silver in the states? This is giving me the shovel fever bad.

That is leftover dirty goop. I had put some around the end at one time because it was starting to wear down. I wore a hole in one. lol

Nice Find !
How well Do you check Your Holes ?

While you are digging the Sixpence your Probe is going crazy.

If you look at around the 6:27 mark, there appears to be a Hammered Silver something
Stuck to the Tip of your Probe

a closer look shows what looks like a Hole in It

I believe it got knocked off when you laid your probe down.
as the sound broke for a second then ceased hollerin"
what did you leave behind ? Jewelry ? Trade Silver ? Signs of a trading Post or Cache ?

OH Ok.
Between the Probe Hollering & the look of it ...
it sure looked like a piece of trade silver :tongue3:

I completely wore the tip off my first Sunray Probe one year.
Filled it in with Shoe Goo :laughing7: Gravel can be like Sandpaper

Amazing! Huge congrats to you :occasion14:

Wish I had that kinda' History in the ground here!!! Congrats!!!!!

Little late to the party but may I say “OUTSTANDING!” Congrats on the homered silver and a belt buckle to boot.
