I haven't made a video in a year, this hunt was definitely video worthy!

Boy oh boy what a marathon hunt yesterday with George, we hit an awesome 1700s farm house property permission of his at 730 am and we both managed some great finds, I got my 1st identifiable KGII about 2 hrs into the hunt!, shortly after that the owner basically demanded we try his sisters 1700s home down the street, GAME ON!, we get there and the lady was super nice, even gave us plenty of cold drinks so we can keep hunting, we both made some great finds there as well, I got my 2nd KGII that I'm pretty sure is either 1743 or 1773, hard to make it out, got an Indian head, and my 1st large cent of 2016 to complete the trifecta, also got 3 dandy flat buttons, a merc, roosie and the coveted OD nickel along with the barrel spigot, and other cool relics you see here, we stopped hunting at 5pm, just about 9 hrs of digging!, man I'm shot today but we'll worth it! Thanks for looking and hh! 20160902_171958-1.jpg2016-09-03 08.43.29-1.jpg20160902_205450-1.jpg20160902_204712-1.jpg2016-09-03 08.41.52-1.jpg20160903_083413.jpg20160902_172233-1.jpg

Hi cjon45; I just PM'd both Iron Patch & CRUSADER. They will chime in today ok. I truly believe the one on the Left is a GWI Button and the one on the Right is along the same ilk ok. I believe they are BOTH Rare. Great finds. "IF" they are then I will Vote for Banner. I don't get excited over nothing ok. I had literally just seen the Left one a few minutes before I Posted ok. Good Luck. PEACE:RONB

Cjon. Great finds an amazing hu t for sure !! What is the red button. That looks cool.
Hh gl.
That's a small reflector popularly used on cars mainly in 1950's as in car mud flaps, license plate decoration also kids would mount them on bicycles.

Hi; The first one I actually just saw a picture of and I believe it is a George Washington Inaugural Button. I'll double check. The button wih the hole, ( The Wreath Button) I believe is along the same ilk. As I said it will only take me a SHORT time to nail them ok. Sweet Finds. PEACE:RONB

It is bed time now so I will reply more tomorrow ok. Thanks.
thanks again!

Glad to see you back in the dirt with George, you guys had quite a haul of early coppers! Outstanding hunt

Wow! Great day for sure and congrats on your first! I bet there's plenty more out there to be found. Best of luck next time and HH!

thanks alan, if I recall it was a certain someone who pointed me in the right direction back then, and yes it was a blast!

Both fairly standard Dandy Buttons 1750-80
thanks cru, I wasn't convinced either, still cool to have dandies that old!

Wow! A lot of nice stuff there cjon. I would need to be out 4 or 5 times minimum to accumulate a pile of finds like that.

A day to remember :notworthy::notworthy: What a fantastic haul!! Rarely done a day that long, but with finds like that poppin' up I might find the juice. Epic cjon!!

thanks man, I don't get out nearly as much as I want so I try to make the most of my time, having 2 1700s properties to hit in one day NEVER happens for me!

Great day of great finds . Glad your back in the swing of things

Awesome finds! Congrats!
You really cleaned house on that one!

Hi; I now know what I was seeing. If you look at the Pattern for the Nova Constelatio Coin you will see that the Pattern is similar but not the same ok. They are NOT GWI Buttons. Look at the 2nd Pattern down from the top on this Link Page and you will see what I mean. Also notice the Wreath Pattern as well. I knew I saw that Pattern somewhere before. I'm still going to do a bit more checking myself. If for no other reason than to satisfy my own curiosity. If something turns up I will let you know ok. PEACE:RONB

NICE DANG FINDS ...
