Hey folks......

Just wanted to tell you that I have recently become a target for my own detector! I had surgery last week to repair an old broken bone injury. They removed some bone and put a metal plate in. Owie..owie..owie! :'( :'( :'(. Now I have to be careful not to move arm in front of detector. I have discovered that typing with one hand is not alot of fun....but I'm not too bad at it!

Keep me in your prayers guys and keep the good stories coming.

Happy Hunting all!

Hey now, I have that metal in my back....Ouch. Make sure that you ask your doctor for the CARD! The one you show at the airport or anywhere else they have detectors set up. Saves a LOT of explaining, if you know what I mean. Good Luck and happy hunting!

Hey Moon......Hope you get to feeling better real soon. There's lots of stuff out there waiting for you to find it. Best of luck to you. Sounds like it's miserable.

Thans for letting us know what's up....I'd missed you on the forum already.

we should start a club for us guys with metal in our body ;D I have a rod in my right leg from my ankle to my knee, I have to be careful when i kneel down and re sweep with my detector or I will pick-up the rod in my leg....... my brother, Whom I metal detect with still gets a kick out of testing his machine by running it down my leg... yeah that one has gotten old!! ;D

Hope you feel all better soon Moon! :)

Nana ;)

Doesn't everyone have metal in their body? As to typing with two hands, I can make just as many mistakes with one or two.
Speedy recovery to you!

I too have a rod in my leg and plates, pins, etc. in my head. If I walk too close to my search coil it sounds off. Its fooled me a couple of times. My friends favorite trick is putting his pinpointer on my forehead and laughing when it beeps.....It never seems to get old to him. Anyway, best wishes for a speedy recovery and happy hunting!!

Bionic man here too! Left ankle screws and plate, right hip replaced. Can't get through the airport. hang in there it gets better. Cladius.

looks like im in the bionic club too! staples in my shoulder. the airport loves me as well! ;D

Wish you a very speedy recovery and our thoughts are with you.
When you get back out there and passing dirt past your coil that keeps sounding off. But you can't find it in your hand. Check which arm holds the soil.
Kind of the old "I forgot my ring was on"

Who me? Y heck no! I've never done it. Really!! Honest!! WeLL, maybe a couple times.

OK!! OK!! A couple hundred times....uh..... maybe. But that's only a maybe.

Honest!! Really!! Would I Lie? Pay no attention to my crossed fingers.

Hurry up and get back here. Will ya?!!!!!! HH

The Bionic Club; I love it! rods in right arm and leg, implanted device (defibrolator, pacemaker) in upper left chest, 5 chicken wire 'stents' in various places around my old arteries. Absolutely agree about the fun of airports these days. I usually fly out of Dulles on the average of once a month. Last few times have been such a hassle that I am looking for ways Not To Fly.

Good luck with rods/pins. BTW when it is REALLY cold outside and you spend much time there, rods are very annoying (read that as painful as H%&*)
