I setup a power sluice with the jobe header box and was wondering if putting a rubber mat or brush might smooth the flow some as the sides of the box the flow is a lot more than center might be a good ideal, anyone try this? I thinking a little stiff rubber mat might be the trick but it can't be that long as there isn't too much room at the header box to the ribbed mat. Thanks for any info

I ended up using spray bars on mine because I could never get a nice level of water I wanted now I have sort of like a little boiler box

Did you try any rubber matting material, like a flap laying where the water comes out or anything? I think that should smooth the flow out pretty good, I picked up some smooth 1/8" rubber matting to try it out my next time out and it might take a couple layers as the 1/8" isn't very stiff but the next size up was 1/4" which would be a little too stiff I believe.

I haven't tried rubber matting yet but I have south Yuba mining smaller sluice 6" x 24" that i'm modding just because I couldn't get the water speed needed so i'm going gold hog razorback matting and bigger hopper and spraybar system and I think we should be all set from here, we'll see i'll make a vid as soon as it is done!
