I've been putting it off, but it paid off some - Old Kitchen finds

It was too nice to be at work today, so I took a half day off to do some detecting. Rather than hitting the plantation house, I headed back to the 1830's CW house I've worked numerous times. This time I was determined to work through some of the very trashy area where the old 1800's kitchen used to sit. I've been putting it off probably due to lack of time & patience. ;D
There was probably mid 1900's crappe' and older to dig through. Still more left to dig, but here are my finds for today.

Oh yeah, one more thing.........."Where in the heck are all the coins hiding???" ??? :icon_scratch: :tongue3: :tard: ??? : I would settle for a wheat penny right about now! Sorry, I had to vent.

A few pictures added for your viewing pleasure:
My daughter Sarah & her prom date.
My son Mike who graduates high school in a few weeks.
Me holding my wiener dog "Sud's".

My finds for today.
*Eagle button (19mm) - Any idea on the age? It's a two piece hollow button.

*Small round copper piece with a Roman numeral clock front.

*Beautiful ornate buckle (?) - Victorian era possibly

*Small buckle with flowers

*Brass padlock w/ "3" on it. I found one of these at the plantation house about a month ago too.

*Ford Model "A" ignition piece

*Asst'd brass pieces & pottery shards

*Copper cosmetic piece. Says "Lehn and Fink Products Corp. - Bloomfield, NJ." and "TUSSY" on the bottom.
Circa 1920's-1950's.

*Asst'd - 45 Colt shell , play money, eyeglass lens, tweezers , hair clip, etc.

Thanks for looking,
MM

Nice weiner dog Doug. I haven't been getting too lucky with the coins lately either. Went three hunts in a row without one. Then I was able to get an 1895 IH and an 1864 2 center. Does your daughter's prom date play in a Flock of Seagulls tribute band? ;D :D  I love the Chuck Taylors. I always had a pair of them as a youngster.

The coins are headed your way dude. You're due!!

"Does your daughter's prom date play in a Flock of Seagulls tribute band" LMAO!!! Now that was funny. I remember that group unfortunately. :'(
My daughter told her date to wear those shoes. Kids, what are you going to do?
By the way, back in the 70's I always wanted my hair to look like Rod Stewarts. :o ;D Don't tell anyone. ::)

Hopefully a coin or two will show up soon. Congrats on that 2 cent coin!

I'll never live those dress pictures down. ;D The jeans do feel a lot better though. If I could just keep those darn panties from crawling up. :o

I'm sure I'll miss my kids when they're gone. Some nights it's just my wife & I at home and man does that feel weird. ;D
Take care,
Doug

Thanks SD.
This is my third one now, and I couldn't remember if someone ID'd my very first one years ago as a Model A or T piece.
Model T it is then.
Thanks,
MM

Ha, ha, ha. :icon_jokercolor: ;D Very funny. Actually I think that digging today HELPED my back for some reason?
The "Made in USA" piece is a hair clip.
Strange to see ANYTHING with those words on it today. :'(

Thanks Bob.
You know the area of the yard I'm talking about at this house. Right by the round circle of rocks on the back side of the house.
I'm hoping a coin or two turn up there still.

Those shoes are Chuck Taylors I am told. I wonder if Chuck knows his shoes are missing? :icon_scratch:

Re: I've been putting it off, but it paid off some - Old Kitchen finds

The ornate buckle is most certainly a Victorian ladies' buckle (half of one). Nice finds! By the way--dig all of that crappe out of there over time. you're only into the turn of the century so far. There'll be older items to hear once the "newer" stuff is out of the way.

Cheers,

Buckleboy

Will,
Thanks for the ID on theVictorian buckle. This makes about five ornate Victorian pieces I've found in that same area, including that Minerva piece last year. I'll keep at the crappe area and hopefully weed out the big iron, foil, caps, and mason jar lids. Plenty of those in there.
