I've been putting it off, but it paid off some - Old Kitchen finds
It was too nice to be at work today, so I took a half day off to do some detecting. Rather than hitting the plantation house, I headed back to the 1830's CW house I've worked numerous times. This time I was determined to work through some of the very trashy area where the old 1800's kitchen used to sit. I've been putting it off probably due to lack of time & patience.
There was probably mid 1900's crappe' and older to dig through. Still more left to dig, but here are my finds for today.
Oh yeah, one more thing.........."Where in the heck are all the coins hiding" : I would settle for a wheat penny right about now! Sorry, I had to vent.
A few pictures added for your viewing pleasure:
My daughter Sarah & her prom date.
My son Mike who graduates high school in a few weeks.
Me holding my wiener dog "Sud's".
My finds for today.
*Eagle button (19mm) - Any idea on the age? It's a two piece hollow button.
*Small round copper piece with a Roman numeral clock front.
*Beautiful ornate buckle (?) - Victorian era possibly
*Small buckle with flowers
*Brass padlock w/ "3" on it. I found one of these at the plantation house about a month ago too.
*Ford Model "A" ignition piece
*Asst'd brass pieces & pottery shards
*Copper cosmetic piece. Says "Lehn and Fink Products Corp. - Bloomfield, NJ." and "TUSSY" on the bottom.
Circa 1920's-1950's.
*Asst'd - 45 Colt shell , play money, eyeglass lens, tweezers , hair clip, etc.
Thanks for looking,
MM
