I've been putting it off, but it paid off some - Old Kitchen finds

It was too nice to be at work today, so I took a half day off to do some detecting. Rather than hitting the plantation house, I headed back to the 1830's CW house I've worked numerous times. This time I was determined to work through some of the very trashy area where the old 1800's kitchen used to sit. I've been putting it off probably due to lack of time & patience. ;D
There was probably mid 1900's crappe' and older to dig through. Still more left to dig, but here are my finds for today.

Oh yeah, one more thing.........."Where in the heck are all the coins hiding???" ??? :icon_scratch: :tongue3: :tard: ??? : I would settle for a wheat penny right about now! Sorry, I had to vent.

A few pictures added for your viewing pleasure:
My daughter Sarah & her prom date.
My son Mike who graduates high school in a few weeks.
Me holding my wiener dog "Sud's".

My finds for today.
*Eagle button (19mm) - Any idea on the age? It's a two piece hollow button.

*Small round copper piece with a Roman numeral clock front.

*Beautiful ornate buckle (?) - Victorian era possibly

*Small buckle with flowers

*Brass padlock w/ "3" on it. I found one of these at the plantation house about a month ago too.

*Ford Model "A" ignition piece

*Asst'd brass pieces & pottery shards

*Copper cosmetic piece. Says "Lehn and Fink Products Corp. - Bloomfield, NJ." and "TUSSY" on the bottom.
Circa 1920's-1950's.

*Asst'd - 45 Colt shell , play money, eyeglass lens, tweezers , hair clip, etc.

Thanks for looking,
MM

Civil,
I thought you were going to tell us you guys handed down Fruit of the Looms to your younger siblings. :o ;D
You have a good memory remembering my son with that carp he caught. A proud day for sure. In three weeks we'll be up in Northern Wisconsin for our father & son musky / walleye trip.
You're right about the 1830's place. I just have more gridding to do. The soil is soft too thank God.

Some excellent finds there, and a good looking family too.

I don't know if anyone has said it yet or not, but I think that the little round item with the roman numerals on it, is actually a hand held sun dial. Just missing the center piece. I haven't found one of those yet.

Keep going back, you'll eventually get thru all the trash.

Nice relics Doug, the coins are coming so don't worry.

Great photos of the offspring..nice looking kids. I had a pair of Keds that looked like those shoes back in the day, and I never heard of Chuck Taylor either :-[

Good pic of you as well..you look like a guy who's enjoying life. Our dog looks alot like our weiner dog Rocky, who is 6 years old.

MM, I love the finds. To heck with the coins, it's more fun wondering just what it is you found. :-\ I really like the victorian dress buckle, I found one myself and it's one of my favorites.

Thanks for sharing the family photos, you're a lucky man to have such a wonderful family!

Here's a t-shirt I had made up years ago that you may enjoy. ;D
Also, that was very rude of me not posting a picture of my better half. Here she is.
