It happened again!! You won't believe me... until you see it.

Not bad for an hours work. Aye? No story today, but thought you all might like to see em. It was hard enough to believe last week when I found the first one. I'm sure you all can imagine the giddiness I felt on finding the second one. Not to mention that I've been waiting on the quarter to make her appearance. Double score. LOL

On a side note, is it just me, or do you all find that no one else seems nearly as excited about the cool things you find as your fellow hunters? I find it rather disheartening that strangers seem more excited about these great things than people who I think should be.

Nope. Not surprising because people who metal detect KNOW it's awesome when you find these kinds of coins (especially older silver) Great finds by the way! I've never found a silver dollar. I found 2 silver halves (1906 O Barber and 35 D Walker) 2 quarters (Barber and Washington) 3 dimes (2 mercs and 1 Roosevelt) 3 Indian Heads and 9 wheats in the first yard I hunted this year. Best yard I've ever hunted!

Congrats!!! I know the feeling. I found a 1795 one cent piece last year, I was so excited!! Today, my husband found a medallion of some sort. A horse on one side, a trowel, shovel, and palmetto tree on the other. I would post a pic, but I have no idea how to do it.😁😁

My best friend says that I like to steal from kids. This is after I hunt tot lots and find rings, silver 50 cent pieces and more than a little junk. My wife always asks if we are rich yet? My girls like to take the choice jewelry. I like to have fun finding it. Just never know what will come out of the ground next. We will never get the approval of those with no inner kid. We will at least live young no matter how many years we have traveled. HHHH

About friends and family not being as excited as you--that's pretty common. Everybody is into different things. It's like a doll collector showing you their super best doll worth big bucks, or a sci-fi figurine collector showing you their prized rare piece. That's cool, but its not my thing lol.

Luckily on this site, you are amongst a crowd of people whom have the same love and appreciation for all the great and not so great junk that we dig up!
