I'd say a little whiskey sampler. Cute lil bugger. You selling him? I could give you a better idea of the age if you can post a side close up of the lip. Where is the seam on it? Does it go through the lip or stop before it? Swiz

It's called a quilted flask. Not sure of the date but think it's 1880's or so.

You're welcome. The only way I know is I found one years ago. I don't know if they are worth anything but I think they are cool.

Great info. Could anyone find a source other than ebay? I have been google searching, but not finding anything. I am going to enter it in my meeting Friday and need to back it up with a source.

You're right Garabaldi, limited links on this flask. Would have expected a 'What is it?' reference source as valid, however you may want to post in Bottles and Glass for your meeting reference. I did find the 1927 Universal ripped flask patent while searching yours, which is also a pretty cool flask :icon_thumright:
