lol just for the record neither its just sometimes I like to lighten the mood with a wacky post or two. If you notice none of my wacky posts are ever offensive or sexist or at the expense of any other individal but myself being a figure of fun. This I don't have a problem with I,am serious to this hobby as the next guy/gal when I go hunting my funny hat comes off and I get serious I'am waiting to find something worthy of putting on the banner before I post pictures due also to saving for a much better model . If my wacky post's ever upset anyone give the moderator a nudge whom in turn Iam sure will tell myself and they will cease forthwith. I hope in my short time here I have afforded others some laughter as I,am by nature a humerous guy. But like I say is this isnt the place for humour tell the moderator and I will change my behaviour .

After reading though the replies I've noticed that some have said the example I gave was unrealistic so I thought I would present another. So here goes

Bill and Bob drive miles to the woods to spend the day detecting after spending several unproductive hours Bob finds a cache of gold claims a 100% percent for himself Bill objects he did contribute towards Gas. They both don Ninja outfits and proceed to fight Matrix style Bill gets struck by lighting and gets transported back to 1970 with his metal detector claims he designed it and makes a fortune than gos to the woods and finds the cache hows that

Happened to me just last week. If I could get past "Bob"s bodyguards I would wring his neck!

You have offered 2 unrealistic examples of "detector rage" ,as you call it.
This would be more realistic.

How about if "Bill" is detecting around "Bob's" house close to an old tree and finds some nice old silver coins and starts yelling in happiness. "Bob" comes out of his house and is mad because "Bill" has found his coin stash. "Bob" gets a long rope and hangs "Bill" from the highest branch of the tree, and then,to make sure "Bill" won't detect "Bob's" tree again, "Bob" shoots him 50 times, and buries him where the coins were at.

That would be detector rage.

Dimeman you need to edit that a bit.
It should be something more like this.

He shoots him 50 times with an airsoft gun because he doesn't want to risk the bullets falling out and being found by another metal detector, and his stash found again, and another body he has to bury in the ever growing pile in the back yard....
