What a day! February 16 and 70 something degrees! ;D
Yesterday was nice too but not as warm. I went to the cellar in the woods and found next to nothing...an old knife part and a 1919 wheat. Then today it was so warm I had to go back. The story on this site is that there was a house nearby the cellar...but where? I have been there several times and always come away with just enough to keep me going back. Well today I went the opposite direction and suprise! I think I found it! Only problem is...now there is a big barn built on the site! :P There is glass and pottery strewn about and I remember reading someone's post that if you find those things you are practically there. I found my first real deal token! And then four more of the Alabama tax tokens. I found some of the tokens in the barn...had to work around all the equipment but did fair. No coins but I'm happy with the token.... :)

Looks like the grass was greener, LOL, nice finds! I really like tokens, rarer than most coins. Nice pics and HH, Mike

Very nice digs, WTG!!!
It's got to just be a matter of time before you pull somekind of really nice coins from that site...
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

I do like the tax tokens...especially when I found my first one...then the others that were from different states...but I really like the middle one! It's my first one to find from a store! It has the name of the store on back and it has a date of Apr 7 1914. I haven't found out anything about the store yet but maybe one day. I think finding 'firsts' are the best! ;)

Thanks for the encouragement ya'll!

Nana ;)

70 degrees! Try a high of about 17 degrees. I like the large token. It's kind of cool looking. Also you find a sprocket! That looks cool too. That would make a great addition to a display of your finds. Plus how often does one get the chance to say a cool word like "sprocket"?

Nana you are a great relic hunter! Tsgman
