I found this while swinging a field under power lines yesterday. The field it usually cleared by a large machine every couple of years to rid the field and nearby woods of any trees/shrubbery that may be nearing the powerlines. I decided this was a great time to hunt the fields being that theyre cleared and this was found literally when i set my coil on the ground. It has a gold/yellowish look to it (that may be distorted because of the dirt) and is IMG_1108.JPGIMG_1109.JPGIMG_1110.JPG10 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide. To me it looks like a fender to an old bike and the clip on top would hold the brake cable in place. Let me know if you agree but MOSTLY id love help identifying the bike this belonged to! Thanks, Gavin.

It looks more like a tricycle fender to me, good luck finding that. Schwinn Sting-ray and that's not a Sting-ray finder.

I had that year and many others, see how the handle bars bend down at the hand grips that was a quick way to distinguish the difference between that model and other Sting-rays, look for gold sting-ray.

The image is a 1966 Schwinn Stingray. Just showing your fender matches the general front fender by design - not necessarily by that make or model. It attaches to the fork at a single point and does not have side struts.

It will be a monumental job to narrow it down unless someone here matches it visually.
