Is Florida for me?

It's still a beach! Sand sun and surf. 4 days of chillin on the beach without a care in the world. Is still better that the crap I deal with daily and my personal opinion better than the stress from the house O mouse!

Stay away from the east coast....all that 1715 fleet stuff you read about is just fantasy, it never really happened, nothing really along these beaches. Nobody ever comes here to swim or to play on these beaches. It's just marketing. In four years of metal detecting these beaches I've only found one dime. West coast is much, much better.

Oh no no no no.

The West Coast ran outta gold. Well, legal access to gold. Only frogs and fishies have rights (it's too bad they are all going to dry out in this drought).

And, all of the gold that the toothless miners panned -- it ended up in the grilles of some blingin rappers. Even our beaches are bare. Speaking of bears -- we are infested with the darn things. They are even on our state flag. I think we are still a state. We may have been taken over by a foreign country, but I do not want to get too political here.

I know, life is not fair.

Stay put.

Your friend,

Katt.

P.S. If you do not heed my advice and come anyhow, pm me. Maybe we can hang.

Hey guys, I really don't want this thread turning into a south, north, somewhere in the middle, west coast, east coast, blah, blah, blah thing. We are all in the same boat and it's sinking. Soooooo, let's just enjoy all the great aspects of where we are from and remember how great this country really is. I was having a discussion with my wife and we decided from now on all our vacations would be to some state/states in the USA. Starting with a drive from New York to the Florida keys. Most people have no idea how beautiful our country is and I want to show my children all of it. It is by the way, you know, where they were born.

You are quite correct. Our country is a fantastic place if we could get some decent leaders it would be much better. I love the drive down the Pacific Coast Hwy. from Astoria to San Fran. The scenery is unbelievable and so diverse. Oregon is one of the most beautiful places in the world and everyone needs to visit Crater Lake. If you go to the Keys try and fit in the boat trip to Ft. Jefferson from Key West. Another amazing place. Snorkel as many reefs as you can, they all tend to be a little different, but please don't touch anything. Visit No-Name Pub on Big Pine. A lot of Key Deer around there as well. We do a lot of night fishing on the reef off Big Pine, lots of snappers and the Milky Way looks like it will fall out of the sky on your boat it is so clear and close.

MrMike, your getting here just in time for our love bug season, rainy season and of course our hurricane season.......

Welcome to Florida...

American by birth, Patriot by choice.

I would rather die standing on my two feet defending our Constitution than live a lifetime on my knees......
