The pocket knife matches Civil War era finds perfectly. I've found one as well, but not in that kind of shape. Florida soil is highly acidic (most of the time) and chews iron up badly. That knife is really a nice find. Keep a record of provenance with it!Makers marks are usually on the blade. I have a nice bone handle knife I found as well. I soak in vinegar for a month and the rust falls off. Then the marks are more viewable. I do find many pocket knives but not this good of shape.
