✅ SOLVED iron mistery face

I have no idea what it went to,but it seems to be some kind of face.I can make out chin,nose,cheek bone and jaw lines,and it almost looks like hair or some kind of helmet? on head.It is a little more than 1 1/2 wide 2 1/2 long ,about 1 inch thick iron and seems to be broken off at the neck.

I do hope it was the head off of some statue.2 me that would throw the neat factor up there.I did find a piece of suspender buckle on same site depicting a elephant.Maby african?

I would say the piece of suspender buckle is at the latest, late 19th century,but it is hard to tell considering where i dug it.Seems to be a mixture of periods.From colonial to the 195o's.

Dave, have you posted your find in here in the past? If so, can you post the link? I'd like to see more pics. Yours looks like a late Victorian nut cracker. Does it move?
