I found this bullet on private property that a friend of mine owns in Dinwiddie Virginia.
This property saw a lot of action during the Civil War. I have found many other bullets.
And, a few other things.

But, the Confederate soldier that had this one, carved a face on it. I could be wrong, But,
I think the soldier carved the face of Jesus on this bullet. That is what it looks like to me.

I had my son, and my sister look at it, and they agreed with me.
This is the best picture I could get of it.

cool find, but I cant make out Jesus! Would it have been a common thing to carve things in bullits or just a bored soldier? Pretty cool either way.

Well, I just dont see the jesus but that shouldnt stop you from selling it on ebay for a couple mil like everyone else. Of course the huge money are the virgin mary bullets

Kierdan, Thanks, I have found quite a few carved Civil War bullets. And some with teeth bite marks
in them. So, it's not unusual to find one that has been carved. Maybe one in a hundred.

Surfin, I agree with both you and Kierdan, it's hard to make the face out in the picture. And, it
may not be at all. It's just what it looks like to me.
And, No, this one is not for sale, now or ever.

Thanks Karib2517, There is a lot of history here. I keep a record of any relics I find. Location,
condition, etc. And then when I have completed my search of the area.

I use the information I have gathered, and try to put together in more detail what activity went
on there.

Yes I see the face. According to letters sent to Caesar from his men that were spying on Jesus, he was a big contrast to his fellow Jew. He stood out in a crowed cause he had reddish blond hair and blue eyes and was taller then most Jews. He also was light skinned. I too have some bullets with carvings but I do not know where I put them. I also have a small statue of Christ about half inch long in a capsule from the civil war. It would seem that the troops on both side were quite religious as are most men when facing death.

Roadquest...

Definitely a good find. I see what you're talking about. Whether it was on purpose or because
of how the corrosion formed, I don't know. Possibly clean it up and see if it's still there?

jimb--Maybe it would better to discuss this in another section, but I'm interested in reading these letters. Most (if not all) of these letters that I've come across on the net are hoaxes. Are there new ones out there?

Jesus was SWEDISH! :tongue3:

jimb, I'd be interested in seeing these letters too. Please post the website, reference book, resource, or publication so that I can find them.

I think I see what you're talking about but the color is what is making the detail. Kinda like cloud watching, if you look long enough you can always see something. For example did you happen to notice the ape's head peaking over the dog, around the middle of the bullet? It's clearer than Jesus! :D

Yep. :D

Sell it on e-Bay. Lady found Jesus in her Frosted Flakes one mornin and sold him on the 'Bay for BIG money. It ain't spirituality or religion. It's the American Way. ;D

Iron Patch, Ya, you're right. Look at anything long enough. You can see something.
I haven't seen the ape and dog yet. Must have missed that, I will have to have another look.

Buckleboy, The Jesus Bullet is not for sale. But, if he turns up on one of my corn flakes.....
