While searching a foundation in a heavy wooded area back east in the early 90's.
My Whites 6000/di sr3, screemed at me to dig a large hit. about 7 inches down , I saw a neck of a bottle! I removed the bottle and was so pleased with the find that I almost forgot to dig the target! Digging just a little bit deeper, I saw a what appeared to be a Tarnished side of a cylinder! Out came one of 5 knitting needles that I use as probes. After about 10 mins probing the object and figuring out its true circumference, I was able to pry out this Mappin Weeb small tea pot. After I removed the pot and hopping for more glass bottles, I dug a 3 foot area around the retrieval hole and found this small ink well. The Tea pot has many dings that may be fixed, but it just wouldn't be the same find.

SINCE I POSTED THIS A ANTIQUE DEALER

OFFERED ME $45.00 FOR IT! I laughed at her!
