I'm only gonna say it ONCE so listen close.....
I got a "WILVER"!!!!!! With all the dry weather here in WI, I haven't had much to post(unless yoou wanna see a bunch O wheats), but we've gotten good rain the last few days, so I revisited a couple old spots. I've been at the same yard the past couple'a days, the ground is nice and dark, last time I hit it, it was dust. Started off yesterday hitting a buncha wheats, and then started noticing some fainter "deep" signals, so I started to dig 'em. I ended up with 6 wheats, an 1868 IH, my first "shield" nickel(1878 I think), and a scandawhovian 2 ORE. Not a bad day for 2 hours. I went back today, because I missed a good chunk of the yard, my first pass netted me more wheats, then things got interesting. I hit what I thought was a wheat, and it turned out to be a merc,....finally....silver!! After a couple more passes and more wheats, I got a solid "half-dollar" signal, wheat and a rosie, same hole(yes I double checked the hole). I had been there about three hours so I started to head back to the truck, and hit the best coin I've hit in awhile. It also came up as a quarter/half, so I was a little surprised to see small silver, but I'll take it. My first seated dime(and in great shape, too). HOLY HAPPY DANCE !!! Enjoy the pics, fall is coming, I must resume my quest for 100 !!
