With the MD bug. I bought my Whites MXT about 2 years ago and went out a few times in the spring of 2004.
I found a few common coins and a lead toy Indian. Then I lost interest.
Over the last 2-3 months I've been reading this site and others. Mostly this site and I see where you all go out in the cold weather to MD. My first thought was you were all CRAZY.
Well yesterday evening I decided I was going to go out myself. So I got the MXT out, cleaned all the dust off it and read thru the manual.
This morning at 9:00 I went to the play area in my apartment complex. It's a mulch bed with a slide, swing set, monkey bar thingie and a bench to sit on.
It felt like I was their about 45 minutes to an hour. But it was 2 hours.
I had the disc. set low since thats what you all say to do. Right?
My finds were as follows.
A handful of pull tabs and other assorted junk.
57 Lincoln Pennies
3 Jefferson Nickles
3 Dimes clad
4 Quarters clad
1 Car wash token
1 Large, One Cent coin from Canada dated 1916.
1 Sterling silver ring with a turquoise setting.
I will try to attach pics.
