I need to vent....

My company was recently acquired by a giant German engineering conglomerate. During a company wide meeting, one of our "vice presidents/cfo/some high up executive" was called out by our new European bosses for sending an email with no punctuation and misspelled words. They were rather offended by the email; they pretty much said the guy's emails looked like they were written by a 15 year old girl texting her friends.

I will admit that when I see a poorly written post with no punctuation and every other word is some dumb abbreviation, I usually just skip over it. This is the internet, to each their own!

My dad was from the South, In 1967 he took our family on a fishing trip to a northern state. A northern full service gas station attendant walked up to the driver's side window and says to my Dad, "How's your oil doing"? And my Dad says to him, "Oh, we're doin' pretty good, how's you'all doin"?

I really don't know what this has to do with the thread, but at least it's well punctuated.

My personal excuse is I am horrible at typing and only use this dang contraption to do research, for vacations, digs, and to pass the time between work and classes. I joined the group here because it is a group of people that have the same interests as me. I don't care how you type, spell, use punctuation or whatever. If I can't understand it I move on to the next post. Not everyone sits at a keyboard or with a device in there hand all day and practice posting forums. Ease up this is entertainment. Life is to short and to precious to worry about such things. Just get out there and find some more cool things to show me!

learnt years ago , that someone’s spelling and grammar does not make them a less of a person or ignorant . I for one have always had issues with spelling and punctuations. English was my worst subject but i had great grades elsewhere .
Yes sometimes I read a post and the spelling is so bad as well as the sentence structure that even I cringe , but I would never be rude and call the person out because if , I was bullied and teased as a child growing up and have used it as a life lesson on how to try to live my life by trying to treat people the way I want to be treated.
