Its fairly cheap , i have a old mxt and am trying to find a new coil , thinking this cheap one would be ok for a back up till i get a new coil.
This buyers guide gives it a good review.

I wouldn’t, for the price range of this I’d just find a used simplex+ or even a brand new simplex lite.

Monterey Magnet man used one and did a review on video on YouTube. I don't think it worked good for him, but he does a lot of beach hunting.

this is what i was thinking, any suggestions for a mine lab.+
You get what you pay for when it comes to detectors.
Another great option is to buy a used machine that is being advertised on the forum.
Heck many times I see great machines at a fraction of the retail price.
These are sold by Charter members on this forum.
They've upgraded their machines and have too many.
Bought a machine and tried it, and decided on another.

Most are like new condition.

But seriously don't buy these cheap off shore detectors.
They might work but the quantity certainly isn't good.
Best of luck choosing your next machine.

I've heard good things about the X-terra and the vanquish detectors. I have a couple Minelabs that I like but no hands on experience with these two though.
