Flat Button Day

Haven’t posted here in a while. Have been detecting about 15 hours a week with limited finds. Found a new homesite about a week ago. Sometimes it seems like you find something and the detector says; oh you’re looking for those. Barley stood up for about 30 minutes. They were everywhere. Only wish a couple of them would have been coins.

Hope so. Do like the sites where there are only square nails. Better chance for older coin

That's a fine hunt! I'd say you are due for a coin. Over the years my ratio of buttons to coppers at my colonial era sites is about 8 to 1.

Good finds. As times gone on, I used to think pfft I found another button, but now things are so thin on the ground where I am its now "oh cool a button".
