i found treasure

No offense Mary, but you privately emailed me a pictures a while ago and one had the caption "golden needle", when the artifact looked more like a rusty iron spike or pin. It certainly wasn't gold. There was nothing in that picture for comparison so could you please tell me the size/length of that object?

The other pic did look like a rough piece of jade

the term i used "golden needle" was used by me, before i knew what it was. since then, i have had some pieces looked at, and no offense to you or anybody out there who may want to believe i haven't found anything, but it has been identified as hardware belonging to a ship possibly, and the age of it has been determined to be at minimum, earlier than 1800. so, yes, it may be a rusty nail, hence the shipwreck and it's pieces being found by me. i have included a few pics of what i believe to be a dagger with a broken tip. the handle of it is twisted, and fits perfectly in my hand like it was meant to be ergonomically correct, and i believe it may be ceremonial, i don't know. and yes, there are nails, and spikes, too. along with planks and other pieces. like i said, be patient and i'll share more finds soon.

Thanks for the photo of the gold.
I have recovered a silver bar I call a bisquit. It weights over 1 pound. I was told awhile back that the Spanish never minted a bar like this. Well I have no idea who minted it but I use it as a paper weight. I recovered it on land near a site that I have been working for a number of years. I have also recovered a few gold pieces that have been beaten flat and each one has a hole punched in it. I believe these were at one time Gold Escudos and the Indians made them to hang around their necks. But since the were flatened I guess they are only worth there weight in gold ::).
These will be displayed in my Pirates Cove display.
