This is my first time on this site and I am hoping someone can help me identify one of my finds from today's hunt. I found this golf ball sized, heavy, round item, which I think is made of lead and it has a thin metal coating that is peeling off. It appears to have a larger plug of some sort on the top and a smaller one off to the side at about a 3 o'clock angle. Does anyone have any idea what it might be?

Welcome to the site!!! I have no clue to what that is. But is that a silver ring I see in the background?
What part of Texas? I'm in the Ft. Worth area

Thanks! Yes, that is a silver ring next to the mystery item that I also found today. It was my best find today. I'm in the DFW area, as well.
