I Found a Cache...of Knives!

Greetings T-Net Nation. I was out poking around in the woods yesterday with my detector ( as I am prone to do), and came across a rather large, rather loud high tone. Given that I was off trail, and in a non-trashy area, I was curious. What's buried out here in the woods? Well , turns out I had come across a buried cache of knives and assorted ninja weapons.

As you can see from the photos, these items had been in the ground for some time, and had been partially wrapped in plastic bags. I lugged it all home, and did some quick cleaning. The overall level of corrosion is pretty bad, but I think I can still make use of some of the knives

So...it's not the kind of cache that one would hope for (I'd much prefer a few mason jars of silver dollars), but still interesting. How did it get there? Why was it buried in the woods? Why did the owner not return to claim his collection? We'll never know the answer to the questions, but that's ok. Still a fun recovery. Thanks for looking and HH!

Quite a few good observations as t o how and why they ended up where you found them? Did you check out any oft nearby surrounding aera looking for any other items I f it was a result of someone stealing them perhaps there may be more things still unrecovered I am addicted to owning knives I find it to be a great find If I found something like that I would clean the up as good as possible and put them on display Most of us never find any truly valuable items that are going to make us rich But the reason we keep looking is because the stuff we do find catches our imagination. And what better find could you hope for as far as making you and all the rest that read this The magic in finding it is the eve lasting question about how and why it came to be. As far as I ca see can see you have some very nice items and they will certainly be reason to start a conversation about them I can't help but wonder what you where thinking once you started getting even more and thinking what is going on here as far as so many knives be atone spot . I nw if it where me I would spend more time in the nearby aea Youjust don/ know what was the reason the knives you found ended there and it is possible there are other things still resting where they where put number of years ago .GOOD LUCKrs
