I think I have discovered an area that will be a home run.......

The pictures look like something my granddaughter drew!

So you are saying my crayon work is getting better. Thanks!

You shouldn't be drawing on your computer screen...it might be "permanent":laughing7:

Really? You Putin me on some gold?

In Soviet Russia, you do not remove overburden...it removes you!

My goodness guys!

What I think he is doing is called remote sensing, meaning in a way he is geologically mapping an area.
This helps him point out areas where the chances to find gold are the greatest.

I have used a similar method to trace back a gold deposit to its origins, since a lot of gold was spread out during the end of the last ice age, where I'm at.

Nothing can replace boots on the ground - just limit the ground to be searched.

"remote sensing" is pure BS and nothing more than guessing. It's what everybody does when searching for things. "Gee, that looks like a promising area, Il'l check over there. Now I'll look over here and there...."

There is a special section of the forum for all that hokum and non-sense. The gold prospecting area isn't it.

Same name, two different things...

I believe you are mixing up the remote sensing in geology is based on satellite images, spectral analysis and a fair bit of knowledge of geological models.
Most often in combination with GIS software.

The other form of "remote sensing" might be BS. Don't know, don't care.

this is serious, it is not a joke. I'll draw where the gold on your sites out there for sure you find out what you know, and there will be new places. send in an internal e-mail or in my email konyshev_as@icloud.com. Alexander

Hahaha, you think this guy is sitting at home, using multi-million dollar satellites, LIDAR, GIS mapping software to pick where he is drawing little circles on a google-earth picture? :laughing7:

If this guy could find gold, he would be out digging it himself.

I thought I was going to see some more of Mojo's cartoons in crayon!

It's a possibility. USGS has free Landsat images, which one can use. So its not like he rented the multi-million satellite for a week or so.

And not everyone likes getting their hands dirty.
