it's non ferrous but too heavy to be aluminium. I can't seem to find anything related to the text on it. I dug it out of a field near Canberra Australia. I'm assuming it's a stamp of some sort but have no further knowledge than that. I have attached several photos including a flipped copy and a 30x picture of some lettering and where I scored it with my shovel pulling it out of the ground. I'm fascinated in this find and hopefully someone out there can give me some insight into what this is.

The text is a fragment of a testimonial. I agree it's likely a piece of a print block for an advertisement.
Something like this, but a different testimonial.

Thankyou, that's awesome to know! I'm intrigued in how it ended up in a field after all this time.
42. 😁🤣

That's the big question, isn't it? Life... the Universe... How'd this thing get here after all this time

Bucket Lister got it! - here's the ad it is from. This is from the Sydney Sunday Times, July 10 1910. It was also run in other Australian newspapers around that time.

Mrs. Reade felt better after the third bottle...
That's really Incredible (not to mention extremely cool 😎) that you were able to find that ad, and date it so accurately! :icon_thumright::icon_thumleft:

...And so relieved to hear about Mrs. Reade! :laughing7: 🤣
