Nice finds!!!!

Finding 60's, 70's and 80's rock on vinyl around here is like finding a screen door on a submarine.

He had a lot of good albums but these were in the box that wasn't stored on the floor in the basement. The others were all moldy and stuck together, and really beat up. These were all actually vg+ and better. Was a shame about the moldy ones.

Nice finds.

My 21 y/o son is a vinyl addict and has me looking for it for him. He is slowly becoming an audiophile and one of the things he just purchased is an Okki Nokki vinyl cleaner for $500. He's collecting 60's, 70's, 80's classic rock to present day indie artists.

Okki Nokki is great. I was looking at that but decided on a VPI 16.5 Made in USA right here in NJ.

Very Nice. "One size Fits all" not only hard to find.
Excellent album, "Inca Roads" :headbang:

James Gang Rides again Also Great music.
Not a bad song on the album.

Looks like the only downside you had to take Halen :laughing7:

For years the only thing I bought at yard sales or flea markets was vinyl. It has since expanded to "everything" but vinyl is still king.

I graduated high school in the mid 80's, Van Halen was king then and I have always liked the older VH. :headbang: They came to about 70 cents each album. cant go wrong at those prices.
Zappa is one of my favorites and I never see any Zappa vinyl, I was shocked and a uncommon one to boot.
Franks guitar on po jama people off 'one size fits all' will leave you speechless.

I kick myself now remembering all the vinyl I passed up at garage sales. walked right by them thinking.
Who the %%%% is gonna play records. And In years gone by on more than a few occasions I saw boxes of vinyl when garbage picking and left them behind to be crushed by the garbage truck.

Great score! I heard an interview with Gail Zappa once and she said Frank always considered that to one of his
best albums. The band was at their peak and having fun. Give " Muffin Man" from Bongo Fury a listen sometime.
"Rat Tomago" from Sheik Yerbouti as well. I could go on and on. Vinyl always sounds better. Period.

Which is one thing helping old vinyl to have scarcity and value.

FWIW, I've trashed a bunch of vinyl over the past years.

Anything in horrid condition, easy listening, and anything that has sat in one of my flea market booths for more than a year, goes mostly to the trash. I separate the sleeves and jacket from the vinyl, toss those into the paper recycling bin, and the vinyl goes to the trash can.

Im a big Zappa fan heard them all and love it. Rat Tomago is killer. Wish I saw him in the 80's when I had the chance, but going on a date with a cutie seemed more important that seeing Zappa at that moment. Big mistake.

Yea I hear ya there, a lot of the vinyl isn't worth squat. Went to a sale the other weekend and guy had at least a hundred albums. all opera. he begged me to make him an offer on the whole lot. I didn't even want one of them.

Take a listen to Occam's Razor if you have never heard it. Really good.

I went to Zappa and the Mothers concerts in the early 70's. Am I dating myself?

My son makes crazy multiples on the vinyl he sells. He is also working at an online music retailer while finishing up college and thinks he will be able to get vinyl at their cost soon.

That is a good song. Had not heard that version, Ty. I saw Frank on his last tour with a full band in Santa Barbara in the 80's. Still have the ticket stub somewhere. Helluva show. What I remember most is how effortless he made it look. Almost stoic. No gyrating, grimacing or posturing. Just concentration, incredible fretwork and dexterity, yielding his magic. Yeah,
I'm a fan. RIP Frank.
