I photographed this item which appears to be very close to camera lens. This picture was taken deep underground also deep underwater. Everytime I look at this picture I think its a human skull. I did a bit of google seaching of images of the human skull which is comprised of several plates of bone that eventually grow to one piece . The cracks are called sutures. Which very much resemble the cracks in this object.

Or Topo Gigio? His grave was never found. :o

If the picture were a human skull, and the detail was good enough to pick out fine sutures, there would be other details like ridges, openings, any other scull features that are absent from the image.

To be honest, the picture is too small for me to make any ID at all. I'd guess its too deep to dive?

Can you make out anything in the above image?

That's from a granite countertop quarried in Vermont. Note how the single-source side lighting even makes it look round? It's dead flat.

I've seen enough images out of Loch Ness to distrust anything that has no reference scale or object in the frame.

quarries in quincy are and were a favorite dump for bodies .also another possibility is quabin reservoir out in the western part of the state where they flooded a few towns with cemeteries. Is either one of these where you found this?
Just curious

Gosh. Really? And here I thought I had all my bases covered. :angel12:

Just like wishing hard enough and saying "it is so" won't make it the truth, I guess.

From what I can see, I would say it is not a human skull. The lower jaw is not attached to the "skull' by anything but soft tissue. When the soft tissue disappears from a skull, the jaw will drop off. This image seems to show it still attached and it just doesn't work that way.
