Hello,

I have a lot fo money tucked away in bills of different denominations for different reasons. (old, seriel numbers, etc). I kinda need the cash, and I am looking for ways(besides ebay) to try and sell them. Are there any dealers online, should I try locally, etc? Thanks in advance for your time, and for sharing your knowledge.

Thanks,
Anthony

I would try a private collector. I used to buy/sell antiques for a few years. All dealers will buy things for 30-50% of what they think they can sell them for. They would pay you $30- $50 and sell “it” for $100. You may be able to get more “trade” value for your items form a coin dealer. If you do sell them to a private collector get documentation (professional grading) on any high dollar items. Otherwise be ready to answer any questions about your inventory. You may be able to get some leads or a better “trade deal” from a coin show. Start in the back of the show as these booths get less traffic and are more likely to deal with you. Also go near the end of the show as the prices will be better. They would rather sell than take home. I hope all goes well for you. Let us know how it turns out if you sell your collection. Just my 2 cents

Thank you for the suggestions. I dont have very many that I consider to be very valuable. Only a few star notes in 1, 20 and 100 denominations. A few bills of the old style they made in the 80s, before they started making these phoney looking ones. Also a couple with semi fancy seriel numbers. So nothing spectacular, Just a few I figure should fetch small premiums.
