how many people have a deus xp

My Deus just came in the other day, haven't had a chance to get out with it yet, itchin' to go!! Thinking I should get the big coil to go with it already...

Honestly I have both ull get more use out of the 9" then u will with the 13" swing speed of the machine makes up for the smaller coil, also tones on gettin an id for ur target are more clear. I'll use the 13'' if I'm out in a huge feild a real big one other then that the 9" is gonna b ur better choice

FWIW...So far I am unimpressed with the big coil. It really throws the balance off the machine and can get a little hard on the wrist after awhile. Forget about using it in anything remotely trashy. I always seem to have 2-3 targets under the coil at the same time. Constantly trying to position myself and the coil to find the good one. GB is a chore and seems to more prone to EMI than I'd like.
I'm sure it would be fine in large open areas with little to no trash...If you know of any areas like that let me know...I've yet to see one! :laughing7:

I think u mayb unimpressed cuz the 13" really isnt anything like the 9". It's really more of a coil just for pastures open land with not a lot of obstruction, it is on certain programs deeper then the 9'' obviously its bigger. I think ur gonna find the 9" a lot better in the areas of huntung ur going to that 13" just sounds like it might b to big for where u r to get the real power out of the deus with its speed,& separation in those trashy areas. Soon man it'll b there for ya

I've found a few! Walked up and down a big open corn field like a idiot, for 2 hours! Never found anything!:laughing7:

I have had one for over a year now.

I have been detecting for 35 years. I have used just about every machine out there. (I started 35 years ago with a Heathkit Metal Detector!)

The last machine I had was a Minelab 705 w/Gold Pack. TOTAL GARBAGE! Wouldn't hit anything smaller than about 1/2 gram! And I had to have a slew of coils when I wanted to change frequencies! :censored:

I liked the DEUS so much I became a dealer! Change frequencies with a touch of a button! Light, yet it's a heavyweight amongst metal detectors. (Sorry if this sound like a commercial.)

I have access to Tesoro, Fisher & DetectorPro. I grab my DEUS first then, for fun a Fisher F75 once in a while.

I got one yesterday -looking forward to learn ( I also have V3i and looks like there are some similarity in the menus)

I owned a V3i sold it for an Etrac, Etrac kicked the V booty, got a Deus a couple days ago, kicked the Etrac booty...nuf said

I guess it more depend on what u were hunting for & how u got the machines set up I own a v3i & a deus to there are some áreas that the v3i with the right coil excells over the deus, & then vise versa its about just having the right tool for the right sight,or job

There is no question that what you say has truth to it. The V was a nightmare to get setup and running correctly and the Etrac immediately went to the same sites I had hunted for over a year with my V and pulled 2 silvers in the first two hunts and I had never found a silver with the V....the soil was very mineralized and I had every coil made for the V to try and get something working....The progress from the V to the Etrac to the Deus reflect my own experience with macihne's employing new technology to simplify the setup requirements while finding the goods and it looks to me like the Deus is a very capable addition that will adapt easily to new sites with lots of flexibility......

Exactly hey theres really no truth to anything no 2 spots r the same no 2 styles of hunting r the same obviosly the v worked better for me in my style of hunting them it did for u. And ya it can b a nightmare to set up cuz it has basically unlimted options of adjustment & thats where time comes in to learn my. All it is is my opinion on the machines same as its ur opinion on what ur exp was. The deus, very capable I tend to lean towards it more for what it has to offer to me its kinda a scaled down v3i. But again these r my opinions, & those were urs si really theres no wrong in either of them everyones different

I sold 2 DEUS machines with WS5 headphones today! :hello2:

I think the word is starting to get around here in the Southeast. (It always takes up a little longer to catch up with the rest of the nation. LOL)

FYI, Andy Sabisch (Lost Treasure Magazine) has a Guide to the XP DEUS insiders book coming out soon.

Ill definetly b looking for the book

If Andy makes the book it will be good! :headbang:

He's been using a DEUS since he tested it for his "Lost Treasure" magazine in May of 2012 issue. (I told a guy that and he promptly told me I was wrong! According to him, Andy shelved the DEUS and went back to his E-Trac.) :laughing7:

I'm 99 & 44/100% positive that Andy was one of the testers for the new version 3.0 prior to it being released. (Yep, sounds to me, he shelved his DEUS alright. :tongue3:)

If he did or he didnt there all good machines its not about what we use its how we use em
