How many of you have cabin fever?

Cabin fever coupled with job fever and surgery fever as well as knowing of two great spots to go detecting/prospecting/fishing for trout/camping while all the time looking around for bears, mountain lions and rattlesnakes. But I've never worried about the lions, the bears come through every now and again and the snakes well they are there every now and then but I'd rather be out there than in town with a mandatory job so I can pay off debt, student loans for a degree that did not find a place to use it.

The first surgery will be for the torn in half rotary cuff in the right shoulder. The second will be for the same area in the left shoulder and the final one will be to go back into the good ole left knee to get some stability back into it. I figure that in 2014 I will be out backpacking again in the Sierra Nevada's out of Sacramento and man will I have a case of cabin fever by then. Just think, all you have to do is wait for the snow to melt and the ground to thaw, that's easy! Hang in there folks, do research, clean up your gear, practice finding nail heads with you pinpointer (man he's got it bad), exercise and other such activities till you are out of jail....................63bkpkr

This is what it looks like at my house earlier tonight. I got a load of logs delivered on Sunday, so here is a picture of the logs and why I need so much firewood.

I wont be metal detecting until June at this rate:icon_scratch:

Good thing we got this "global warming" thing going or else you might never thaw out again!

just got done making a gird on the living room carpet
going to find all the nail heads in the floor this time....
using just my pin-pointer....

Hahaha lol can't wait to see the pictures

I couldn't take it anymore and went out in the frozen snow covered woods. The ground was frozen but I brought the mini pick axe I have and found a 1945 merc. Not to bad I guess but it sure was cold.

Yep. I've repacked my bags three times. Spent so much time tent camping in the wild, i can't even relate to city living anymore. My neighbors remind me of little hyper-active ants repetatively scurrying along their little ant trails dragging back loads of groceries to feed all the other ants. I switch on the television and see the news, but don't particularly care about it. Cancelled Net Flix And Hulu. What has Vikings, dragons and reality shows got to do with me ? NUTHIN. I don't run the heat in my apartment anymore, because i'm used to the cold. I just put on more cloths. Don't sleep in a bed anymore, because it's too soft and ends up screwing up my back. A couple of doves landed on the railing of my balcony yesterday. I stepped outside to regard them more closely and they didn't fly away. These must have been wild birds just passing through the city. They showed no fear of humans. I fed them some cracker crumbs to speed them along their way and spoke to them softly.. "Yes my friends, I will follow you soon". "And we will be shed of all this chaos and madness". Cabin Fever ? I'd say i'm way beyond that. I don't plan on returning to the city this time. Lifes too short to sit here in this coffin of an apartment waiting for the coroners van to arrive (LOL).

No such things as cabin fever in southwest VA,Grundy VA has alot of mountain land and very thick forest so in the winter months when everything is down n brown on the ground,I take advantage of it and get out in the woods to find some new areas to hunt,You would be amazed at how much different terrain looks without the undergrowth in full swing,I`ve found old foundation stones and cellar holes in the winter/fall part of the year that i had previously walked passed numerous times in the spring and summer months without even realizing they were there! Just because the ground is to hard to dig,That doesnt mean you cant find an entire new list of places to keep you busy when the thawl does come.
