How did everyone like Diggers?

I liked it for the most part.

As others have said I would've preferred they cover the code of ethics.

I cringed when they started talking about the potential value of the finds.

As far as the goofiness goes; I imagine if I hunted with a buddy I'd goof around a bit to keep it fun. I wouldn't be as goofy, but that's me.

As I like to form my own opinions and I missed the first shows, I cannot yet comment. I do have the reruns set to record and will see them some time after Saturday evening. Since metal detecting is a hobby I really love, I will probably watch the show even if I disagree with their methods and language. As long as they are picking up their trash, filling in their holes and not shedding the entire hobby in a bad light.....I'll probably watch. I will have to figure out what some of the "lingo" that has been mentioned means.....like "juice".....is that in reference to remaining battery strength?

well i did some research and boy what i found is not good, this is what the American Archaeology had to say,,,(Late last week the Society for American Archaeology Board was informed that there are two TV series planned that promote and glorify the looting and destruction of archaeological sites. They are American Diggers and Diggers. The first is scheduled for Spike TV and the other for National Geographic TV. As past SAA President Bob Kelly wrote in a recent e-mail in response to American Diggers, "This shameless and shameful program will glorify and promote the mindless destruction of archaeological sites in the U.S."

I think it was a Hoax, joke or what ever!! I don't think they were even dectorist. They couldn't pinpoint, could dig a find without making a crater , and I didn't see a hole filled. In my 40 years of detecting I've been all over but have never heard their "lingo". The archaeologist are going to use this show against us. Just my thoughts. Tony
