Not that division hasn't always been there to some degree, but it's the internet itself fueling it to unprecedented levels. We are more angry, more depressed and more lost then ever. The internet tracks our every click, like, post and site visited. It trial floats articles to us to see which ones we most click on or read, it knows what we want to hear, it knows how we feel and it stokes the fire, always fine tuning it's algorithm. If you were to just randomly log onto someone else's computer, you'd see story and article recommendations you never get. We are all literally being radicalized online. If for example, you think the world is flat, it will feed you flat earth links non stop, it'll then also assume you like conspiracy theories and start feeding you more conspiracy theory articles and then it will start recommending you friends who believe the same as you and you'll soon be so far down the rabbit hole...
