How About A Posting For Covid Vaccines

As of today Sunday March 28 2021 My wife is almost back to her nasty old self LOL i think we are in clear sailing. RAlso this posting was not intended to tell others what to do. It was simply to ask questions about those that got the shots before us .

That's great to hear! I'm not exactly looking forward to my second shot and my first gave me no side effects what so ever, but i've read the second can often cause some flu like symptoms. Did you experience any symptoms on your second shot?

Not true, I have family who lived well past 80, there are over 12 million Americans over 80 right now.

You sound just like a guy I used to work with, TH. We were all sitting around eating lunch and B.S. ing about life and death. He stated his Mom and Dad lived into their early 90's and he was in good shape, so he thought he would do likewise as well. I told him don't tempt fate! He retired at 62 and 8 months later dropped dead of a massive heart attack.
When your time card is punched upstairs, you're done...no if, ands or buts.

Doesn't mean you just give up at 80.

Go Deep:

I got my second shot and no issues other than a mildly sore spot on my arm for a couple of days. It took the starch out of my wife for a day; our son had a mild reaction. We're all different. I can report from my own experience - nada.

And whatever side effects one gets from the shots are probably far, far less than those from COVID-19. The evidence is piling up that COVID-19 can have a severe long-term negative impact, on top of the serious issues while one deals with it initially.

Good luck to all,

The Old Bookaroo

I wasn't implying that. You remember the old saying..."Don't count your chickens before they hatch."

Not counting my chickens yet, but I am making sure the chicken coop is in good shape. I eat a healthy Asian diet most days, high in fiber, low in grease, many foods I eat are cancer fighters, I work out 5 days a week at gym pumping iron and cardio, take vitamins daily and drink water all day long. I gave up sugar years ago.

I got my first Moderna shot today. My arm is a little sore. It feels like... relief.

Kindest regards,
Kantuck

I am getting the Johnson & Johnson shot Friday at my doctor's office, 2 miles from a major hospital if needed. I don't think anything bad will happen.

I will be honest, my first Moderna was easy, no side affects, 24 hrs after receiving the 2nd one I had mild side affects, fever of 100.5, chills, small headache and lack of energy, it went away completely about 16 hours later except for being a little tired from the fever, wasn't that bad at all, took shot Friday at noon, by Sunday night I was back to my old self again All of them are listed as possible side affects which is your body recognizing and fighting it.

What you describe is pretty much what my wife and I went through with our 2nd Moderna vaccine.

I'm a scotch man, I have 8 fifths of Chavis Regal Scotch, I picked up 6 fifths when I was in Hong Kong airport in a duty free shop while returning to states from Philippines in 2019, they were running a special, 6 fifths with a chavis regal carry on bag, I used the bag to get it back to the states.

We don't hear too much on the J&J vaccine symptoms and I'd be curious to hear from you on any you experience.

I have to add that my nose was mildly running at times with my 1st Moderna shot and didn't think much of it at the time, but it went away with the mild soreness I had in my arm. Anybody else notice a slightly runny nose?

Sounds just like my 'ol co-worker.

One of my co workers got JJ 2 weeks ago no problems he is 65.

Looks like my county in Tennessee is dropping the mask mandate at the end of April. Good news! Ready to put this virus in the rear view mirror. Takes up to much of our time.
