It is said that when querying a group of people, and asking each member of the group what is going on? and no single member knows, you can ask the group as a whole and it can tell you.

So...

Answers to two questions.
1. Was there a treasure on Oak Island?
2. Is there a treasure on Oak Island?

There are no wrong answers.

Need a snap judgement.

Will tabulate later.

GO !!!

The question is , what constitutes TREASURE ? That depends on who you ask and what is their bottom end ! Treasure to many people is just finding anything . That's their little treasure . It don't need a monetary value , it just needs to catch someone's eye enough to bend over and pick it up and ultimately keep it! That's treasure to them ! I , myself have found lot's of this type of treasure over the year's. now on the other hand most people think / like /desire a treasure to be of some worth like coin / script / gold / silver / antique items ETC. and so do I ! So your 2 questions you ask , my reply is YES to both of them ! It don't matter if it is man made or a natural object! If it catch's the finder's eye , it is treasure to them ! Surely all the object's (timbers / leather shoe sole's / old spoon's / coin's / button's ETC. ) that were found on Oak Island have some treasure quality's But everyone has attention set on that hole in the ground . Who in their right mind would go to that amount of work digging a hole that deep if it wasn't to burry something to not be found ? and after it was dug and a (treasure ) was placed into it ,some poor soul would have t
to fill it in! And now how do you get all these people to keep their mouth shut for all this time??? Kill them ? What about the Military that was supposed to have been there?? And is there a possibility that they used the ole secret of "hide in plain sight" ??? That Island is only so big and with the amount of people needed to dig the hole / support those that were actually doing the digging and those that protected them from snoopy people that wanted to see what they were doing on that Island ? I hope they find all that their imagination has brought forth into their mind's and that nobody loss' their life over it !! Another thought , How did they get breathing air down to them digging that hole ? They had to have a LOT of people in that hole just to remove all that soil and rock , plus caring all those big timber's into there ! Now I ask you , what kind of idiot would attempt to go this far into a major dig if NOTHING OF VALUE WAS TO BE PLACED INTO IT ??? SO my vote is that, what ever is down there , timber's gold , treasure has yet to be determined , and is treasure to them ! Because the History Channel has spent a fortune on this show and I guess "their" treasure is the people's that are watching this program and the sponsors of this! Long rant ,short answer ! Have a nice day (dreaming of gold / silver / jewels ) :):):)

The treasure is in the advertising revenue.

1-Yes, with the history of all kinds of sea travel throughout the centuries, whether commercial, military, piracy and ship wrecks, it is very plausible at some time or times there was some kind of treasure on some part of oak island.
2-Yes although in my opinion residual, I do hope they prove me wrong

I've always suspected that there was at one time a treasure there. Not huge but maybe the size that one man or so could move. However, I think that treasure was found or recovered a very long time ago and the modern phenomenon is a byproduct of the growth of the legend over time.

Well either way you answer the asked question.... There is or was a treasure on Oak Island.

I personally believe there never was a treasure buried on Oak Island.

1. NO
2. NO

I've never watched the show, so I'm not sure my vote would be worth anything. As with anything else on television, it's pure entertainment.

1. No
2. Yes, as Treasure_Hunter said, the advertising revenue.

True as said sir.... agreed. But not exactly what was meant. But YOUR RIGHT...!!!!

1. Yes
2. No

I must say for a group that hates on the show so much we have a minimum of 3 threads going at once on the new posts page.

There are more than a few on here with a psychotic hatred and obsession. They should really seek some help from a licensed medical professional. If they only took that negative energy and funneled it into something positive.

Do you somehow believe that non-believers of something of value buried on Oak Island have a "psychotic hatred / obsession"...? What would lead you to believe that if so..? Are you suggesting that only believers of buried treasure should respond to the shows presentations. Non-believers watch to see what they'll repeat over and over and what new twist will be presented and followed.

Maybe if your a O.I. believer and are awaiting the next episode to see if they find something of value after 200+ years you might want to see a non-licensed medical non-professional.

Sir... it's just a made for TV show. Just like Finding Bigfoot, Ancient Aliens and Blind Frog Ranch. It is nothing more and/or less. Hell I even think the Wizard of Oz is fake (oh my!). Maybe start a thread of your own for ONLY BELIEVERS and get your group therapy going. All 2 or 3 of you can comfort each other.

1. Maybe, but doubtful. Why bury something purported to being that deep? With the trouble they're having today with excavation, how in the world would they have done it over 200 years ago with hand tools?
2. No......I mean, why would you leave anything valuable behind?
