wow thats awesome!! I heard of a couple people finding gold while CRH so its definitly not impossible , but im guessing you could buy every box of pennys in your state for the next 20 years and not find another. great catch! this is what being in the right place at the right time means for CRH!

Awesome! Just one question though...is the picture flipped or something? Because the indian and eagle are supposed to face to the left.

Good eye, Red. The inversion is the camera, though. If you blow up the pictures, you will note the lettering on the canvas bag has the letters upside down and backwards. Note the "R". Also, if you note the Brinks box in the background, you will see the "$25 pennies" (I hate the use of pennies and not cents) label. It too is inverted.

Unbelievable. Congrats

Interesting find. I do legitimately call shenanigans on this one, and according to the forum rules I'm allowed to.

I can't tell based on your web cam pictures, as I'd like to see higher resolution photos, but it appears to be stamped "COPY" on the forward shoulder of the Indian. Could you provide a higher resolution picture?

If I am wrong, congratulations on the find.

I'd pack it in - you'll never top that!

............... after you check the rest, that is.

That's only the 2nd time i've heard of someone finding a gold coin in a roll! A huge congrats! If you have any coin dealers near you, it might be a good idea to show it to them for an opinion on grade, value, etc. WTG from a fellow New Jersian.

OP - if you see copy on your gold coin - let us know...

Otherwise, it's too legit to quit.

But a magnit test, and a scale should help a lot.

Unreal man, congrats! I have a reason to keep buying pennies.

Gold coin for 1 cent. That's pretty cool! Make a pendant out of it & you'll have eternal bragging rights!

This is incredible!!! I search pennies hoping for a wheat penny or two, and look, GOLD!!! sweet, go clean the bank out! i've heard of people finding the rare silver in a penny roll, but never gold... I would vote banner, but we all know us CRH'ers don't want the publicity...hh
buff
